At First Response Property Inspections, we understand that your home is one of the most important spaces your life. When there are issues in your home, it can be very stressful, time-consuming, and expensive. That’s why we’re here – your safety is our PRIORITY!

After we receive a report from a tenant, resident or buyer about an unsafe condition, we spring into action to make sure that there are no worries about the conditions of your home. We have given knowledge and confidence to many residents in the North Jersey area.

Our Founder

Herman E. Irving, III was born on November 26, 1982 in Paterson, New Jersey to the late Herman E. Irving, II (of Bermudian decent) and Reverend Hannah Jocelyn Irving (of Jamaican decent). Herman is Paterson Proud and is excited to be from a dynamic, diverse community.

Growing up on Ninth Avenue, Herman attended Calvary Baptist Church for Pre-School, Blessed Sacrament School for Elementary School and Rose Parks School of Fine and Performing Arts for High school where he majored in Vocal and Drama. Herman was an all-county Athlete for Eastside High School. Herman went on to attend William Paterson University, majoring in Kinesiology and Education where he played 2 years of college football. Becoming a Paterson Firefighter in 2006 was a dream Herman had since he was in Kindergarten. Aside from being a Firefighter, Herman also was a substitute teacher at Rosa Parks High School for 6 years.

While serving as a Paterson Firefighter for over 17 years, property and building inspections are a part of Herman's daily routine as he serves City of Paterson residents. Herman has attended training in Urban Search and Rescue, Confined Space, EMT, HAZMAT and other areas of Fire Safety. Herman and his team are committed to ensuring your SAFETY!

Health and Safety Inspection

We evaluate and offer solutions for safety and health challenges in the home by

ensuring that the home has properly working plumbing and electricity. We ensure that the structure of the home is stable and the property is infestation free. We check for fire hazards and air quality conditions. We also ensure that living conditions are adequate and that all building codes are up to standard.
